The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Budapest organized a special pavilion for the State of Qatar as part of the Arab Cultural Days, which was held in Budapest for the second time between 2-3 May 2017 under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Laszlo Kövér, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament and at the initiative of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Hungary.
His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa received the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament who visited the pavilion of the State of Qatar and briefed him on the contents of the pavilion. For his part, the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament expressed his admiration for the popular works and heritage products presented by the Embassy, praising the achievements of the State of Qatar which he saw on the ground during his official visit to the State of Qatar in February 2015.
The Embassy displayed heritage products, pictures and paintings inspired from the Qatari heritage, showing Qatar's past and present, and popular dishes were served to guests who had come to the pavilion and presented to them publications and booklets about the State of Qatar.
A number of Hungarian officials, diplomats, orientalists, those interested in the Arab affairs in the Hungarian arena and a large audience visited the Qatari pavilion at the exhibition.
