Andrássy Street is one of the most elegant and luxurious tourist, cultural, commercial and diplomatic streets in Budapest, and it was established in the last quarter of the nineteenth century and built under it the first metro line in Europe, to celebrate the thousand years since the founding of the state of Hungary (1896). It is 2310 m long and connects the city center with the large public park (Városliget) that includes the zoo, circus and other entertainment facilities, through the Heroes' Square and museums located on both sides of the square. It is designed similar to the Champs Elysees in Paris.

It is noteworthy that all the buildings, palaces and villas located on Andrássy Street are included in the list of archaeological buildings that must be preserved in their current form, noting that the Andrássy street has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2002.
