Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Education and Research

On the sidelines of the second session of the Joint Qatari-Hungarian Economic Commission, a Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Cooperation in the Field of Education and Research between Qatar University and the Hungarian National Agricultural Research and Innovation Center was signed in Doha on 26 September 2017.

The Memorandum was signed by Dr. Mariam Al-Ali Alma’deed, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies of Qatar University and by Dr. Ferenc Olasz, Director of the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Center. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the State of Qatar and the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

The aim of this Memorandum is to develop long-term cooperative activities between the two sides. Activities will include, for examples, cooperation in the exchange of information on teaching and research activities, promotion of joint research projects and courses, focusing on internationally funded projects, in addition to holding seminars, workshops and cultural exchange through mutual assistance in the fields of education and research, sharing new techniques and new methods of management through programs, and seeking for funding opportunities for joint activities that provide mutual benefits for educational institutions, research and awareness programs.
